...For an amazing book to read, read Sabriel by Garth Nix. THEN read the sequels, Lirael and Abhorsen. THEEEN buy the rest of his books and read them as well.

So due to some freakishly long rainstorms, I ended up with a five day weekend. (about two days of no power, but it's better than school!!) Consequently, something very AMAZING happened. I actually had time to read. I re-read the abhorsen trilogy, and I'm very glad I did. I forgot how much I loved those stories. Nix is such a creative author.

Right now I'm working my way through Lirael. It's kind of sad, because Sabriel is such an amazing book, but Lirael has a completely new protagonist and time frame. Still, it's like reading the book for the first time, because I don't remember Lireal as well as I remembered Sabriel.

Blahblahblah okay, so read those books. Right now. Unfortunatly, I didn't use my abundance of time to draw anything. I've been pretty low on creativity. Also, a lot of my artistic efforts are now going into ceramics and art II. ((By the way, did I mention that I'm absolutely awful at ceramics? Sheesh...)) My scanner is also approaching its final days. It still scans and prints, but the quality of the scans are getting kind of ridiculous. The light doesn't pick up any detail and the resolution is often grainy and blurred.

A simple solution would be to buy a new scanner, but the simple problem is that I'm broke ^_^ A somewhat-more-complicated solution would be to trave each and every picture with machine-like accuracy and send the copies out to the world attached to feet of carrier pigeons. I'll include extra paper so you can leave your comments/feedback with the pigeons.
